Holiday Special: Festive Meals for Students Staying on Campus
The holiday season can be a lonely time for students who are unable to travel home. This year, World Food Movement Dallas organized special festive meals to bring warmth, community, and delicious food to students staying on campus.
Spreading Holiday Cheer
On December 20th and 21st, our volunteer teams prepared and served over 500 special holiday meals featuring traditional festive dishes with our Sattvic twist.
More Than Just a Meal
The events included live music, games, and opportunities for students to connect with each other. For many, it was a chance to feel part of a community during a time when they might otherwise feel isolated.
"I couldn't afford to fly home this year, and I was dreading spending the holidays alone. The WFM event made me feel like I had a community here." - Student Attendee
Volunteer Spotlight
A special thank you to the 75 volunteers who gave up time during their own holiday season to make these events possible. Your generosity means the world to us and to the students we serve.
Looking Forward
Based on the success of this year's events, we plan to expand our holiday programming in 2026. If you'd like to help, please consider volunteering or donating to support our festive meals fund.
